Placing the spotlight entirely on AI for the first time, the awards' 2024 edition recognized innovators who are shaping the future of AI in technology, art, and sustainable development. Honorees included Yann LeCun, Chief AI Scientist of Meta; Sougwen Chung, Founder of Studio Scilicet; Kay Firth-Butterfield, CEO of Good Tech Advisory; and Karim Beguir, Co-founder and CEO of InstaDeep. The ceremony, co-hosted by TIME and the World Governments Summit, underscored the critical role of AI in advancing global progress.
