At the same time, the global system designed to protect refugees is under growing strain — from funding gaps and political resistance to the erosion of international norms. This session examines whether the global protection architecture is keeping pace with the realities of modern displacement. The session will focus on practical pathways to strengthen responsibility-sharing, support host countries, and uphold protection principles in an increasingly divided global environment.
