Who Owns Innovation Tomorrow?
February 04, 2026
5.1 Sustainability Hall
The rules of ownership are changing, and governments need to rethink them. Innovation is no longer created only by people. As AI, algorithms, and digital collaboration reshape how ideas are born, this session explores how intellectual property must evolve to address one of the most pressing questions of the future: “who owns innovation when it is created by technology”? The discussion examines how governments can adapt IP frameworks to define authorship, ownership, value in AI-generated and collaboratively created works, and the judicial dispute resolution mechanisms associated with it, in light of the global trends in the rule of law.
