Shaping Future Governments Roundtable
February 05, 2026
6.1 Dubai Chambers Hall
The Shaping Future Governments – High-Level Meeting, held as part of the World Governments Summit 2026, convenes Ministers and senior government officials to examine the evolving role of the Global South in the international economic and political landscape.
Over the past two decades, countries of the Global South have significantly increased their economic weight and political influence, with several now ranking among the world’s largest economies. As these countries assume more active roles in global governance, diplomacy, and conflict mediation, the effectiveness of their public administration systems has become a critical factor in sustaining growth and international influence.
This will provide a platform for strategic dialogue on how governments in the Global South are modernizing public administration, leveraging technology, developing human capital, and addressing institutional and financial constraints. Through experience-sharing and forward-looking discussion, participants will reflect on both achievements and remaining challenges in shaping resilient, effective, and globally engaged governments.
