Countries worldwide are actively working to reduce bureaucracy and red tape within their governments to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and improve citizen satisfaction. They have deployed creative methods and tools, such as government-wide competitions, one-time large-scale efforts, the establishment of dedicated regulatory reform authorities, and bottom-up mechanisms where employees report hurdles to leadership, with the aim of creating an environment conducive to economic growth and improved quality of life. This session will explore a wide array of approaches that governments have institutionalized to cut red tape, from common strategies to innovative and unconventional ones.
