
The Future of U.S. Space Cooperation

For decades, the United States has been an international leader in space exploration and cooperative space activities. From the International Space Station to the Artemis program and the lunar Gateway project, multilateral engagement is a core strength of the US space program. However, renewed political priorities and an increased global sense of competition have the potential to shift the trajectory of US space activities and the nature of international cooperation in the coming years. Following the results of the 2024 US election, this panel will examine the changes set to come in the new administration, and how US engagement abroad and in space may be impacted by this change.
