World Governments Summit begins in Dubai today, leaders from 150 nations to attend
The Summit will feature the largest leadership gathering in its history, with more than 35 heads of state and government in attendance, alongside delegations representing over 150 countries.
The World Governments Summit 2026 will be held from 3 to 5 February in Dubai under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” marking the largest and most internationally attended edition in the event’s history. The Summit is set to welcome more than 6,000 participants, including over 35 heads of state and government, delegations from more than 150 governments, and over 500 ministers.
nnouncing the details, Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Governments Summit Organisation, said the Summit has undergone a major transformation since its launch in 2013. Initially established to enhance governance and anticipate global change, the Summit has evolved into a leading global platform addressing increasingly complex international challenges.
The Summit will feature the largest leadership gathering in its history, with more than 35 heads of state and government in attendance, alongside delegations representing over 150 countries. Among the confirmed leaders are Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck; Switzerland President Guy Parmelin, Ecuador President Daniel Noboa, Estonia President Alar Karis, North Macedonia President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. Heads of government attending include the Prime Ministers of Spain, Albania, Georgia, Egypt, Bhutan, and several other nations across regions.
