H.E. Carlos Ramiro Martínez Alvarado
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Republic of Guatemala
He is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala. He holds a degree in International Relations. He served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs on four occasions, dealing with areas such as foreign policy and human rights. He was Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Switzerland, and served as Ambassador to Argentina and Paraguay. Among his honours are the Order of the Quetzal (Grand Cross) of Guatemala and the Order of May Merit (Grand Cross) of Argentina.
